CUSTOM DESIGNS

In addition to our line-up of over 30 standard sizes of ice chests and freezers/refrigerators, Frigid Rigid can produce custom boxes to meet your needs. Our patented mold system for producing temporary fiberglass molds allows us to design coolers in virtually any size imaginable.

Many of the options available for the standard product line can also be produced for your custom cooler. Set back tops, dual lids, and several other options are available.

THE 3" RULE

There are some limitations to this process. Our patented mold system uses a series of 3" aluminum plates that bolt together to make the mold. Therefore, the custom coolers are limited to 3" increments. For example, if the dimension you want is 29 inches ... 29 divided by 3 is 9.7 ... you must select either 27 inches or 30 inches. The three inch increment rule applies to all dimensions on the box.

The aluminum plates also create a checkerboard finish on the custom coolers due to the parting line where the edges of the aluminum plates bolt together. These characteristics do not affect the performance of the cooler. And, if you prefer a smoother finish, we can make that happen for an additional cost.
